There has been some consultation with Lambeth Landscapes about how we wish to move forward with the landscaping maintenance of Woodvale Estate to promote the best environment for our wildlife whist still keeping the spaces pretty and useable for the human residents. There will be some changes this year to how the grass is cut, leaving more areas to meadowland with paths cut through and areas to sit. We are also asking for the hedges at the front of the estate to be left to grow higher (although still neatened around the sides) to create a barrier to the road noise and pollution. This is an ongoing discussion and is in the early phase and so may take time to make sure everyone is on the same page and will evolve as time goes on.
